Privacy Policy
Last updated
This site is a personal editorial project. It asks for no sign-up, keeps no visitor database, and sells data to no one.
This policy explains, in plain language, what data is processed when you read a page, why that happens, and what you can demand at any time.
Who is responsible for the processing
The data controller is Renan Azalim, an individual, responsible for the content and the operation of renanazalim.com.
Questions and requests about personal data can be sent to contato@renanazalim.com. Replies are given within the period required by the applicable law.
What data is processed
The site has no forms, login, comments, or newsletter. Processing is limited to what is needed to serve the pages and, when you allow it, to understand how the content is read.
- Technical access data: IP address, device type, browser, language, and requested page, logged by the hosting infrastructure to deliver content and protect the service.
- Audience data: page views, traffic source, and aggregated interactions, collected by Google Analytics 4 only when you accept analytics cookies.
- Advertising data: identifiers used to measure campaigns, processed only if you allow the advertising purpose.
- Consent preferences: your choice, with date and version, stored in your own browser and never sent to a server of this site.
- Contact data: name, email address, and message content, when you choose to write to contato@renanazalim.com.
Why the data is processed
Each purpose has its own legal basis under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law and, for visitors in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Serving pages, keeping the service secure, and preventing abuse: legitimate interest in the safe operation of the site.
- Measuring audience and improving published content: consent, requested before any analytics cookie.
- Measuring and personalizing advertising, where applicable: specific consent for that purpose.
- Replying to messages sent by email: performance of the contact you requested.
Consent and cookies
Analytics and advertising start denied. No measurement tag runs before an explicit choice from you, and Google Consent Mode v2 is applied before Tag Manager loads.
You can accept everything, reject optional cookies, or allow each purpose separately. Your choice can be changed at any time through the Cookies button, available on every page.
Each cookie is described in detail in the Cookie Policy.
Who the data is shared with
There is no sale or assignment of personal data. Sharing is limited to the providers required for the site to run and to measure audience.
- Vercel Inc.: hosting, CDN delivery, and technical access logs.
- Google LLC: Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and, where applicable, Google Ads and Google AdSense, always conditioned on your consent.
- Public authorities: only under a legal obligation or a court order.
International transfers
The providers above operate servers outside Brazil. That implies international data transfers, covered by the contractual clauses and adequacy mechanisms offered by those providers.
Whenever possible the content is served statically from a CDN, which reduces the amount of data processed on each visit.
How long data is kept
Retention varies by purpose and by provider. In no case is data kept longer than necessary.
- Technical hosting logs: for the retention period defined by the provider, limited to what security and diagnostics require.
- Audience data in Google Analytics 4: according to the retention configured in the property, always aggregated in reports.
- Consent preferences: until you clear your browser data or change your choice.
- Email messages: while they remain useful for the reply and for the contact history.
Your rights
You can exercise the rights granted by data protection law at any time and free of charge. Just write to contato@renanazalim.com.
- Confirm that processing exists and access the data.
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data.
- Request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data.
- Withdraw consent and object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Request portability and information about sharing.
- Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS and stores no credentials, payment data, or sensitive information. Because there is no authenticated area and no visitor database, the exposure surface is deliberately small.
No environment is immune to incidents. Should a relevant security event occur, communication will follow the applicable law.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to third-party sites, including clearly identified affiliate links. Once you follow those links you are governed by the privacy policies of the destination, which are outside the control of this site.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the site, in its providers, or in the law. The update date at the top of the page indicates the version in force, and the full history is public in the project repository.
